At Motivate Wellness Behavioral & Relationship Services, LLC, our supervisory philosophy is centered around nurturing the professional development of our supervisees by offering robust support, comprehensive education, and ensuring the well-being of our clients.
Ledora has been certified by the Louisiana Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Board of Examiners to provide clinical supervision to Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselors (PLPC's).
PLPC SUPERVISON:
Supervision is tailored for Provisional Licensed Professional Counselors (PLPCs), with a specific focus on those striving to accumulate 100 clock hours to attain licensure, and PLPC's must document a minimum of 3,000 hours of post-master's experience in professional mental health counseling under the clinical supervision of a board-approved supervisor, with said supervision occurring over a period of no less than two years and not more than six years from the original date such supervision was approved. A supervisee must remain under supervision of a board-approved supervisor until receiving written notification of approval for licensure.
Our supervisory process is designed to aid supervisees in cultivating both therapeutic and professional competence. We provide clinical supervision through various structures, including individual sessions, group sessions, online interactions, and tape reviews.
INTERNSHIP SUPERVISION:
For graduate students in practicum or internship, we offer administrative supervision. This program is available to students seeking valuable experience and the required hours for their school's curriculum in a private practice setting.
As part of this unique opportunity, students engage in a volunteer position, working with clients and completing essential forms under direct supervision. Weekly supervision sessions are conducted, and all necessary school documents and forms are diligently addressed throughout the process.
Before embarking on supervision, a mandatory interview session is required. This session serves to align expectations between the supervisor and supervisee, ensuring a harmonious fit for both parties.
Our commitment to ethical standards is unwavering. We adhere to the ethical guidelines set forth by the American Counseling Association (ACA), Louisiana's LPC rules, and the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) during all clinical supervision sessions.
Recognizing that the supervision process unfolds over time, our emphasis is on creating an environment where both parties feel comfortable and derive mutual benefits from the experience.
Don't let fear or uncertainty hold you back from your dream career.
